Lead Reagent Manufacturing Associate, BillionToOne, Inc., Union City, CA. Responsible for the manufacturing, assembly, and qualification of reagents in support of the Clinical Laboratory. Will also be responsible for: the troubleshooting of reagent manufacturing activities and management of sufficient reagent inventory within the Clinical Laboratory; Managing and performing the training of new operators on established reagent manufacturing methods; Authoring and executing formal deviations, verifications, and validations to support changes in the manufacturing process; Developing novel, robust manufacturing or qualification techniques independently or through collaboration with development teams; and leading inventory management of reagents used in and prepared by Reagent Manufacturing through preparation and maintenance of build schedules. Position requires supervision of other employees. Telecommuting permitted up to fifteen working days per quarter.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related life sciences field
  • 2 years of experience as a Reagent Technician, Reagent Associate, Clinical Lab Associate or Research Associate
  • 2 years of experience in a high complexity laboratory environment
  • 2 years of experience with molecular biology techniques (ex. PCR and DNA sequencing)
  • 1 year of experience with analyzing and problem-solving issues that impact reagent manufacturing and qualification events
  • 1 year of experience with laboratory automation platforms
  • Must successfully complete competency-based interview

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing, assembly, and qualification of reagents in support of the Clinical Laboratory
