About The Position

RR Donnelley is adding a Lead Project Manager/Supervisor to their Columbus, OH team! This is a Hybrid role working 3 days in office, 2 days remote The Lead Creative Project Manager will support a graphic design / creative team that creates captivating and innovative presentations for our banking client. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day execution and optimization of our client's creative projects – managing performance against Service Level Agreements (SLA's), assessing client needs, determining goals, and coordinating projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in discipline related field with 8+ years of relevant work experience

  • Proven track record with strong and effective customer relationships and solution delivery

  • Knowledge of administrative software, including Microsoft Access; basic working knowledge of design or development skills/software (Adobe Creative Suite, including In Design and Photoshop, etc.)

  • Ability to create and work with cross-functional and/or distributed “virtual” teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a supervisor or in a management role is a nice to have
  • Background in the Design and/or Banking industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor and lead point-of-contact for the client and internal project management staff and offshore team
  • Train and mentor project managers, creative staff, and new employees as needed
  • Complete performance reviews for the team as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of and adherence to facility procedures, operations, and protocols
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct creative teams to ensure project plans are executed accurately and effectively
  • Establish and promote excellent customer service through effective and proactive communications to update clients and other stakeholders on project status.
  • Enter and track a high volume of data-related work components and updates to the client and/or RRD project tracking system
  • Demonstrate expert understanding in each area of Creative Services
  • Lead relevant client meetings, production, and project management status calls bringing in appropriate resources from onsite and offshore Creative Services as needed
  • Maintain contact with clients and print production to set project milestones, create project estimates, track schedules, advise of job progress, scheduling concerns, and any requests for additional information or materials, when required
  • Provide proactive updates to clients and other stakeholders on project status
  • Maintain pre-set deadlines and produced innovative designs while understanding and adhering to clients’ budgets for individual projects
  • Track and report on quality metrics, strategize with the client, and deliver services, which will attract and retain customer loyalty
  • Ensure all deliverable deadlines are met for all individuals and parts involved in the process
  • Track and report on global SLAs and KPI metrics, and strategize with the client to develop customer loyalty
  • Proactively sell and manage client expectations
  • Proactive in the early detection of issues; works with internal partners to provide solutions across functions and responsibly communicates issues to the client
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
