About The Position

Project Manager Hybrid: 3-days/week onsite in Vienna, VA Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager III to plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation. In this role, you will develop comprehensive project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget in support of service innovations and organizational enhancements. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex vendor relationships, and drive strategic initiatives that directly impact our organization's success.

Requirements

  • Extensive project management experience overseeing multiple large and complex projects
  • Advanced knowledge of project lifecycles, project management methodologies, and business requirements analysis
  • Expertise developing and managing relationships across business units and the organization
  • Extensive experience leading, guiding, and mentoring others in a constantly changing and challenging environment
  • Strong understanding of contracts and their impact on projects
  • Proficiency with PCs and related software applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database, and project management applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated skill in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated skill directing and controlling project activities across broad functional areas
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of our client's operations or other financial institutions' operations
  • PMP Certification or commensurate experience managing corporate-wide projects
  • Advanced degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete project lifecycle from inception through implementation, ensuring effective oversight at every phase
  • Define, develop, and execute detailed project plans including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedules
  • Collaborate with business groups to determine and understand business requirements and translate them into actionable project objectives
  • Guide projects through planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases
  • Develop clear strategic alignment of projects with organizational goals and communicate the "big picture" to stakeholders
  • Direct and lead project teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training programs
  • Manage project budgets, including risk assessment and impact analysis of changes to project plans
  • Identify and minimize project risks and constraints that could impact deliverables
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve cross-organizational areas of concern that may impede or impact other projects or initiatives
  • Maintain and archive comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed customer expectations and established quality standards
  • Set, manage, and communicate clear client expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee project progress to ensure documentation and schedules comply with agreed requirements and standards
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve issues associated with projects to ensure deliverables conform to quality and schedule requirements
  • Monitor and control risks to ensure timelines are met and project goals are attained
  • Facilitate project team and client meetings for the resolution of project issues
  • Provide regular project status reports to management and stakeholders
  • Partner with Procurement to ensure project success through effective vendor contract management
  • Work closely with Procurement to define and understand contracts, including scope, legal aspects, and risk management
  • Manage contract quality assurance, including contract administration and execution
  • Manage contract budgets, cost control mechanisms, and change control processes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project management and related issues
  • Secure resources and ensure optimum utilization to meet budgetary requirements
  • Allocate project team assignments to ensure accountability and establish a collaborative team environment
  • Manage personnel changes and execute training plans
  • Communicate project plans, changes, direction, approach, and priorities to stakeholders based on evolving business requirements and budget considerations
  • Establish team objectives and assignments, review work products, and provide timely performance feedback
  • Promote team building and professional development of project team members
  • Manage multiple large and highly complex projects simultaneously
  • Participate in developing, modifying, and executing department policies, standards, and processes
  • Provide guidance on issues with department and organization-wide impact
  • Address complex issues requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and competing priorities
  • Solve highly technical and complex problems
  • Negotiate with and influence management to facilitate project resolution within timelines and budget constraints
  • Manage vendor relationships and participate in contract negotiations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
