About The Position

The Lead, Program Management position will be the central leader for the Production Program team. This role will manage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction.

Requirements

  • Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related program management experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related program management experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related technical and program management experience.
  • Requirement to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance within 1 yr. from date of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Fluent with Costpoint ERP/MRP.
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Directs all phases of assigned Production programs from inception through completion.
  • Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new Production programs, and/or continuing, or current programs.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned Production programs.
  • Uses Earned Value techniques (EVMS) to baseline, monitor, and control assigned programs to achieve key results using an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Directs the work of employees assigned to Production programs and lobbies for correct resource allocations as more or less are required, depending on the program phase.
  • Leads the negotiation of new Production contracts and amendments to existing contracts.
  • Coordinates the preparation, Statement of Work (SOW) specifications, financial/contractual terms and conditions, presenting (internal approval and external customer sales), and award of Production proposals.
  • Acts as a point of contact with customers for Production program activities and leading Production program review sessions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills along with proven team building experience.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • May perform other assigned duties, from time to time.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.
