About The Position

Leads production and assembly teams and lends advanced knowledge and experience of Click Bond Inc. parts to develop protocols and standards for the production, paint, assembly, and packaging personnel. Competent in all related areas and can troubleshoot issues for workers to assemble finished product using sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners as set out by company policies and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Must have a good command of the English language relative to the work responsibilities, both written and verbal.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Skilled at performing dimensional inspection of Key Characteristics and other attributes.
  • Skilled at using basic computer skills to complete Work Order requirements and Verify Count Operations.
  • Skilled at accurately and clearly completing all required documentation.
  • Skilled at using Lean work practices.
  • Skilled and knowledgeable in general safety and organization (6S), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Foreign Object Displacement (FOD) requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS).
  • Productivity and quality are a minimum of 5% below average throughput or better.
  • Ability to have uninterrupted engagement with duties for periods up to 4 hours.
  • Must be able to perform duties from recall, written instructions, and visual aids.
  • Can correctly select and accurately use measuring and assembly tools.
  • Able to support team members by assisting and training members in their assignments.
  • Must be able to perform basic math, including but not limited to addition, subtraction, division, fractions, and metric conversions. Application of geometry and algebra is a plus.
  • Knowledge of general safety and organization (6S), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Foreign Object Displacement (FOD) requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS).
  • Is a role model in company policy compliance and work performance.
  • 7 years of related production, factory or similar work experience.
  • Following established methods and procedures, must be able to perform, but not limited to the following operations necessary for component assembly and maintain rigid quality: fixturing, trimming, clipping, component orientation, hand tool operations and machine operation.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and quality while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Use and be familiar with assembly and measuring tools, interpret visual aids and must be able to perform shop math.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings & visual aids.
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of hand/fingers continuously through shift to manipulate components, tools, etc.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift, bend and reach.

Nice To Haves

  • National Career Readiness Certificate strongly preferred.
  • Certifications in manufacturing such as Manufacturing Technician (MT1), etc. or an AA degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  • National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) of Silver or better is preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Manufacturing Inspector (CMI).

Responsibilities

  • Directs team to focus production efforts based upon management, work orders, and materials.
  • Performs repetitive bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hands, hand tools, and pneumatic and/or electromechanical tooling as directed by supervisor.
  • Mentors team members on processes and best practices.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Checks stock bins for adequate supplies of sub-assemblies, parts, and fasteners for the manufacturing process.
  • With experience, may resolve assembly and packing problems. Reports all problems to supervisor.
  • Reports immediately any machine or process challenges and all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understands and observes all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CBI policies and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned including being re-assigned to other work areas calling for these skills.
