Job Overview: The Production Manager leads, evaluates performance and train employees at all levels. Reports to Production Manager and located at Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in EMS industry.
  • Good technical understanding of processes, and equipment (PCBA, Boxbuild and/or conformal coating).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide feedback on employees’ performance
  • Provide leadership and direction to a group of non-exempt employees
  • Provide ongoing feedback on performance of individuals through both formal and informal evaluation
  • Communicate daily plan to employees and report production or customer service issues to production manager
  • Assist Production Supervisor in reaching goals/targets of the department
  • Provide effective training to all new and existing employees
  • Lead employees by demonstrating skills to be used to conduct on-the-job training
  • Mentor, coach and train non-exempt employees fostering development at all employee levels
  • Contribute to development of techniques or concepts in different functions like SMT, 2nd Ops and Boxbuild
  • Determine quality/procedures on new assignments
  • Report all production, personnel, and equipment issues to Production Manager
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions
  • Communicate with swing shift supervisor to ensure smooth communication flow
  • Highlight material shortages, interface with expediter/purchasing on any part shortage. Recognize and monitor production bottlenecks
