About the Role: A Lead Procurement Analyst plans and directs the daily activities of one or more categories within a particular GMF functional area, based on a mid-term work plan (up to 12 months) and set of objectives. The category may be responsible for a range of goods and services, functional activity or geographical area. A Lead Procurement Analyst is able to develop and oversee the implementation of the team's operational strategy, designed to meet business partners' needs and issues. The Lead Procurement Analyst uses business, management, and technical expertise to identify issues, determine appropriate approaches and level of resources needed to solve them, and directs category team to execute to the plan. The Lead Procurement Analyst provides leadership to category peers, although they may not report directly. The Lead Procurement Analyst also makes proactive and thoughtful recommendations to GMF leadership about the direction of the category. A Lead Procurement Analyst builds strong working relationships with business partners, contractors, supplier, colleagues, and other industry stakeholders. The Lead Procurement Analyst ensures that effective contractual relationships are in place for external sourcing, which balances commercial arrangements with acceptable risk. The Lead Procurement Analyst manages specific projects and initiatives, which improve efficiencies and add value to the business.
