About The Position

The Process Specialist Lead, under the general supervision of the Organizational Development Project Coordinator, plays a pivotal role in steering the Organizational Continuous Improvement (OCI) team towards the design, development, and implementation of human-centered processes for ASI. This position requires advanced knowledge in process development and continuous improvement methodologies, and the ability to mentor and guide a team of Process Specialists in optimizing organizational and department-level processes. The Lead is responsible for project coordination oversight, stakeholder engagement, and the strategic implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, minimize waste, and improve the end-user experience. This role demands a high level of independent judgment, decision-making, and a commitment to excellence in service and support.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in process development and continuous improvement projects required; Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Quality Management, or related field preferred
  • Green Belt Certification in Lean Six Sigma or coursework in Improvement Science (or currently enrolled in) one of the following: TOM 4010 Quality Management, or TOM 3010 Operations Management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering an environment of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities, with a proven track record of making strategic decisions and recommendations that have positively impacted user experiences.
  • High proficiency in mapping and flowchart software, as well as Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with culturally diverse populations, form partnerships, and work collaboratively within a goal-oriented team.
  • Strong ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and proactively seek new and creative ways to achieve goals.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete a background check, including a criminal records check.
  • Commitment to high standards of service, maintaining open communication with all staff and stakeholders, and safeguarding sensitive data.
  • Willingness to attend all required trainings, meetings, and workshops.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and guide Process Specialists in all aspects of process improvement projects, from ideation through to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead complex projects involving human-centered process initiatives, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to gather critical information, ensuring that process improvements meet organizational needs and enhance user experiences.
  • Conduct advanced lean analyses to identify opportunities for workflow optimization, waste reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Lead the digitization of workflows and the development of standard operating procedures, driving continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for staff on process improvement tools, methodologies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Utilize quantifiable measures to assess the effectiveness of process improvement initiatives, reporting on outcomes and making strategic recommendations for further enhancements.
  • Attend all required trainings, meetings, and workshops
  • Completed additional related duties, as assigned
