About The Position

A detail-oriented, reliable, creative team player is sought to lead in process design for new and existing facilities. The role involves analyzing, calculating, and designing new or revamped process equipment in refinery, chemical, and other industrial applications.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of P&ID development, heat and material balances, hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations, relief device sizing, API standards, and ASME codes required
  • Strong technical knowledge of refinery and chemical plant unit operations and/or licensed technologies
  • Management: Experience mentoring and leading teams required
  • Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Licensure: P.E. Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead field and technical evaluations of existing process units
  • Provide technical direction for refinery and chemical process units and licensed technologies
  • Direct and perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, develop equipment specifications, compile scope of work packages for construction
  • Lead Client and Contractor interface, attend meetings, and provide written reports
  • Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
  • Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
