The Lead Painter will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of Paint Department operations and personnel. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. Monitor, lead and control operations of Paint Department. Responsible for performance management of Paint Department personnel, including time and attendance, coaching, training and discipline. Coordinate with Production, Scheduling and Sales to determine projects’ requirements. Review job specifications and production schedules. Set and monitor production by reviewing Quality reports to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality. Monitor and ensure application of Company and Department Policies and Procedures. Monitor the implementation of approved work procedures. Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure that all equipment related to pipe cleaning and coating application system is working and maintained properly. Support sales of third party painting. Develop and oversee Continuous Improvement projects in the department. Report any equipment malfunction to relevant department for repair. Keep department personnel informed of all safety and quality standards. Other duties as assigned by Management. At DNOW we know that our greatest asset is our employees. Requirements

  • Four or more years of vessel coating with national & international paints, pipe coating, epoxies, and relevant experience.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • NACE Level II
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence.

Nice To Haves

  • NACE certified is a plus.
