About The Position

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Job Summary: This position is for a person who has System Administrator knowledge and can manage OSS/EMS systems, in a Tiered support structure. This is a Tier 2 position, where the candidate will have to work in an on-call rotation through weeks and evenings from time to time. Roles and Responsibilities: Support all EMS’s and OSS’s in AT&T from current Mobility Ericsson ENM platforms, both current production systems and upcoming cloud instances, to the Nokia Net Act systems, current production and Cloud Band systems. All Cisco EMS’s, ePNM, Prime and Acuitas systems. We also support legacy systems supporting firewalls, routing and fiber networks. Primary / Mandatory skills: System Administrator skills, knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Kubernetes, Docker Operating systems, as well as knowledge of server hardware configurations and able to work through the replacement of defective parts. Secondary / Desired skills: A MUST, is being able to work with your team in a cohesive working environment. You need to be able to share your knowledge, as well as be able to receive knowledge, learn, listen and absorb what you learn from your co-workers. Your dedication and commitment will ensure support and respect from your teammates. Additional information: You will be required to become part of an on-call rotation for 1 week at a time. This will most likely be every 10 weeks after you become up to speed with the applications you support. Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas. Certifications: Please provide all vendor certifications.
