Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant or Military Corpsman, plus two years applicable clinical experience.
  • Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
  • Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or Military Corpsman program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead training and provide ongoing support for onboarding new employees and delivering continuous guidance across ten primary care clinics to ensure adherence to organizational standards and success in their roles.
  • Providing technical support to Medical Assistant staff in a clinic site or physician module to include training, assurance of consistency and standardization of procedures.
  • Management of day-to-day staff coverage arrangements to ensure excellent patient care, staff performance management, and to serve as a mentor to staff.
  • Covering multiple positions and departments.
  • Mentoring new and existing staff on clinical processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for review of new and existing staff documentation and charge documents for completion and accuracy.
  • Practice within the scope of a Medical Assistant and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care, performing as a staff MA as needed.
