Responsible for providing direction to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard. Operates industrial powered lift truck in a safe and efficient manner. Assist and supports with training employees and certifies newly hired LTOs. In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the Lead will act as Supervisor as needed Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed. Assists Supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning and directing work. Assist LTO's with daily issues. Assist other Leads and Supervisors with ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are being followed. Need to Case Pick daily and/or as needed based on business needs. Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Assist with onboarding and safety training. Assist the Ops Managers, Supervisors and GM/HRM with special projects. Schedule flexibility is a must base on business needs.
