About The Position
The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance operations, leading maintenance staff, and ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems operate safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on technical work with leadership, planning, and coordination responsibilities.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a Drug Screening and Background check.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians and contractors
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor daily work orders and preventive maintenance tasks
- Perform advanced maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems
- Troubleshoot complex equipment and system issues and implement long-term solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports (CMMS or manual systems)
- Coordinate with operations, management, and vendors to minimize downtime
- Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and efficiency
- Assist with inventory control, ordering parts, and managing maintenance budgets
- Support facility improvements, equipment installations, and capital projects
