About The Position

We are Doe Run – producing metals and recycling batteries for a clean energy future. $35.83/hour 5% targeted monthly bonus. Paid time off and insurance benefits start day 1. On-the-job training with career growth opportunities. The Doe Run Company is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic to Serve as technical expert on maintenance projects throughout the Division. Maintain Doe Run equipment to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime. The night shift position will be located at Buick Resource Recycling in Boss, MO.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid, current driver’s license.
  • Must complete Doe Run Company maintenance training program or equivalent and pass a Level III Maintenance Assessment Test.
  • Mobile equipment certification.
  • 5S/Lean manufacturing certification.
  • Environmental safety and health rules and regulations training.
  • At least eight years of relevant experience or equivalent vocational training.
  • Basic knowledge of divisional operations (i.e., mining, milling, smelting).
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, including cranes, fork lifts, skid steer loaders, etc.
  • Working knowledge of metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, bearings/seals, welding, pipe fitting, pump repair, mechanical repairs, and construction maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, I-Series, AS400/PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to read and draw schematics/blueprints.
  • Demonstrated skill in using small hand tools, advanced measuring, and basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and on-the-job training to others in all maintenance skill areas.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and operate equipment and machines as needed to assist team.
  • Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs, including assigning safety & environmentally compliant work.
  • Manage time and work with Maintenance personnel in order to provide effective, timely, and efficient repair and maintenance service.
  • Install new equipment/modify existing equipment.
  • Complete required documentation for safety, environmental, and maintenance management.
  • Report incidents, issues, and concerns to on-site supervisor or other leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
