Ensure the quality of project deliverables, validate that systems meet business requirements and comply with relevant standards, and proactively identify and escalate potential issues to uphold operational excellence. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including clearly defined scope, resources, and deliverables for WMS peripheral implementations and upgrades. Technical Oversight & Integration: Provide technical leadership in the design, configuration, testing, and integration of logistics devices that interface with core SAP modules (e.g., ECC, EWM, S/4HANA). Conduct thorough risk assessments in close collaboration with operations leadership and end-users, identifying potential project risks and issues, and developing practical, effective mitigation strategies aligned with real-world operational needs. Perform gap analyses between existing and new processes. Develop and execute robust change management strategies to ensure successful user adoption, minimize resistance, and facilitate smooth transitions. Manage project budgets for device-related leases with appropriate allocation. Hypercare & Post-Implementation Review: Provide critical on-site hypercare support during production transitions and conduct post-implementation reviews to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization. Expect approximately 75% travel, including weekend support during critical cutover activities and off-hours availability for hypercare. This role requires significant flexibility to provide seamless support across various US time zones, ensuring successful business go-lives. Analyze logistics device needs, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs related to device management. Act as a primary liaison between device suppliers, internal IT teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, effective communication, and timely resolution of issues. Compile insightful reports, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for device performance and availability, and ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Train and provide ongoing guidance to logistics staff on proper device usage, troubleshooting, and best practices for device management.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and hold operational teams accountable for device performance and adherence to established processes.
  • Deep expertise in WMS peripherals (e.g., voice pick, ring scanner, tablet, stationary & mobile printers, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules (ECC, EWM, S/4HANA) as they relate to WMS hardware integration.
  • Exceptional ability to assess complex data, diagnose issues quickly, and implement sound, data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, suppliers, and clients.
  • Meticulous focus on accuracy in record-keeping, asset management, and operational execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain operations, or IT support with a strong focus on device management or WMS hardware.
