Lead Logistics Analyst
About The Position
The Lead Logistics Analyst is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for overseeing complex freight execution, supporting customer account performance, and providing day-to-day operational guidance to the logistics team. This role acts as a subject matter expert and escalation point, ensuring service reliability, cost control, and KPI performance. Key Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Advanced Operations & Brokerage Execute and manage the full lifecycle of transportation loads across asset-based brokerage operations Oversee complex and high-value shipments across asset and brokerage scenarios Balance internal capacity with external carrier sourcing Negotiate rates to optimize margin and service Customer Account Support Act as primary operational contact for key accounts Drive and provide KPI reporting (OTIF, cost, performance trends) Drive continuous improvement initiatives Team Leadership (Non-Managerial) Provide day-to-day guidance and support to Specialists and Coordinators Act as escalation point for service failures Assist in training and onboarding team members Performance & Financial Ownership Monitor: On-time performance (OTIF) Cost per load / margin Carrier performance Support billing accuracy and cost validation Working Condition Ability to sit and type at computer station for prolonged periods of time Cross-dock environment with exposure to warehouse and yard operations Ability to operate/use multi-line style telephone Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Ability to work in fast paced environment Shift: 9:30 am - 6:30 pm or until; Monday through Friday Must be able to execute all the above functions and meet all the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years logistics / transportation / brokerage experience
- Strong analytical and operational expertise
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
