About The Position

This position involves coordinating and managing Information Technology (IT) projects to meet the business needs of mining sites in the U.S. and Mexico. The role requires collaboration with key members of various departments and IT teams in both countries, utilizing English and Spanish, to identify application issues, system enhancements, business processes, and new user requirements. The Lead IT Analyst will act as a liaison between the IT team and business customers at U.S. and Mexican mining sites, and will be responsible for creating status reports, budget risk assessments, project plans, schedules, and other documentation for effective IT project controls. A core function is to understand the business objectives of the mining sites and translate them into clear IT requirements, as well as to design and implement IT-related business process improvement strategies. The analyst will support mining business processes end-to-end, identifying and addressing operational, human resources, and technological risks within IT projects. Responsibilities also include providing Oracle support for user administration, release management, and license management, acting as a Software Specialist for HR and mining technologies, coordinating internal IT controls, and troubleshooting IT systems to ensure error-free functionality. The role leads efforts to support and enhance business processes and IT systems across supply chain, financial business functions, and HR/PR systems.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must have 3 years of related work experience.
  • Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with ERP components and Oracle E-Business Suite, including Data acquisition, ETL, and reporting to support cross-functional departments.
  • Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience applying operational processes and procedure development in a production environment.
  • Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience serving as a Software Administrator and license manager for mining technologies, including Seequent, Maptek, ESRI, Autodesk, and AcQuire.
  • Of the required experience, must have 2 years of work experience with supporting IT projects related to mining operations in the U.S. and Mexico.
  • Of the required experience, must have 2 years of work experience with reporting and analytics tools, including EIS, SQL, and Oracle.
  • Of the required experience, must have 1 year of work experience with serving as a Software Specialist for HR technologies, including Oracle HR and Fortia.
  • Of the required experience, must have 1 year of work experience with Oracle applications within module groups, including Financials, Supply Chain, EAM, and Payroll.
  • Must have fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written.
  • Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 15%.
  • Travel to various international locations required up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage Information Technology (IT) projects to address the business needs of mining sites in the U.S. and Mexico.

  • Provide support as Software Specialist for HR and mining technologies.
  • Coordinate key internal IT controls and ensure they are followed properly.
  • Troubleshoot and debug IT systems to ensure error-free functionality and end-user satisfaction.
  • Lead efforts to support and enhance business processes and IT systems to support supply chain, financial business functions, and HR/PR systems.
