About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Equipment Mechanic to serve as the Lead Mechanic and acting Supervisor for second shift. This dual-role position combines hands-on mechanical repair with shift leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth production operations and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrated work history as an Industrial or Plant Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Proficient in mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic industrial electrical repairs.
• Must be available to work the full second shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Monday–Friday).
• Willingness to obtain or maintain forklift certification (Experience preferred).
• Ability to commute consistently to the job location.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced preventive maintenance and repair on industrial production equipment such as wire drawing machinery, manufacturing presses, and similar systems.
• Oversee second shift operations, address production issues, and support overall workflow.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues to reduce equipment downtime.
• Enforce safety policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Safely operate a forklift to move equipment and materials (training available if needed).
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules.
