Looking for those with compassion and respect for patients and families in this Hospice setting Full Time Role - 40 Hours a Week 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 a.m. Rotating weekends and holidays Overview Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital offers highly specialized surgical and medical services in an intimate environment and is known for outstanding patient care. With 64 private patient rooms, 14 operating rooms and four intensive care unit rooms, the facility was designed to provide a comforting environment that is innovative, efficient and centered on the patient experience. The campus features a park-like setting with landscaping and a walking path that winds through the grounds and connects to Millennium Park. Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Environmental Services Department providing excellent housekeeping and infection prevention processes while striving to provide a safe, welcoming, healing environment for our patients and their families. Role Purpose Responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization. During the absence of the supervisor, assumes those responsibilities in addition to regular assignments.

Responsibilities

• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms and prepares room for next admission.
• Performs routine cleaning activities in inpatient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Assumes supervisor responsibilities in the absence of supervisor.
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedure and reports defects to supervisor.
