About The Position

Civis Analytics is hiring a Lead Generation Specialist to own our sales pipeline development. We serve mission-driven organizations including nonprofits like Doctors Without Borders, Feeding America, and Human Rights Campaign, as well as government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. As our Lead Generation Specialist, you will build and execute systematic processes to identify, engage, and qualify prospects for our data analytics platform. You'll leverage AI tools and automation to maximize efficiency while maintaining the personalized outreach that converts prospects into qualified meetings. This role owns the pipeline from initial contact to scheduling the first client meeting — then hands off to our client-facing team to close.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in lead generation, sales development, or business development
  • Experience selling to or working with non-profits, government, or mission-driven organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and take full ownership of results
  • Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to automate workflows and scale efforts
  • Strong written communication skills for crafting compelling outreach
  • Comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus) and lead generation tools
  • Data-driven mindset — you make decisions based on metrics and continuously optimize based on results
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding lead generation or pipeline targets
  • US work authorization required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Familiarity with prospecting tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Apollo
  • Background in building processes from scratch or improving broken systems

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute outbound lead generation campaigns across multiple channels (email, LinkedIn, phone, events)
  • Design and implement AI-powered automation to scale prospecting efforts while maintaining quality
  • Research and identify target accounts and key decision-makers
  • Craft personalized outreach sequences that resonate with mission-focused prospects
  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria and book initial discovery meetings for the sales team
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce and track campaign performance metrics
  • Experiment with new channels, messaging, and tools to continuously improve conversion rates
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to refine lead qualification criteria and messaging based on what converts
