Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Innovative, motivated, self-directed.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, theories, and concepts, and/or strong knowledge of GAAP, Tax, and/or IFRS.
- 6+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
- Negative drug test result(s).
Nice To Haves
- CPA, CMA, or CFA; or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; or MBA.
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Tax systems.
- Tax, audit, project, and/or cost accounting experience.
- International accounting experience.
Responsibilities
- Apply strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles to perform, review, or audit complex journal entries, account analyses, workpapers, and reconciliations, and perform month end close tasks and/or the consolidation of US and international entities, and/or coordinate external audits, and/or prepare complex tax returns.
- Prepare analysis of financial results requiring evaluation and judgment of complex situations, and provide other support and recommendations for division management.
- Prepare budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other complex analyses including recommendations to management, and/or implement or review internal controls.
- Perform research and planning according to generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws, and/or IFRS, and make recommendations to management.
- Lead special projects.
- Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
