Schedule: M-F 5:00am-1:30pm (OT possible/ Occasional Saturdays required)

Requirements

  • 1+ years of direct supervisory/management experience as a job site foreman, fab shop supervisor, or project manager
  • Welding or fabrication experience is required
  • Must have good problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with individual contributors, teams, peers, and leadership
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years experience in the mechanical contracting or process piping industry preferred
  • Illustrate detailed knowledge of pipe fitting procedures and skills
  • Previous experience in Fire Protection/ Fire Suppression contracting or process piping industry with pipe fitting processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize workflow through the shop and use all resources to implement tasks efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
  • Identify all tools required for tasks
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks
  • Responsible for performance metrics, process improvement, and lean thinking
  • Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications
  • Install valves, hangers, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans, and applicable specifications
  • Perform test to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems
  • Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment
