The EVS lead supervises and inspect work of EVS staff to ensure assigned areas are appropriately cleaned.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or relevant experience
Must have 3 years’ experience in environmental services
Ability to direct and lead staff

Responsibilities

Maintains a clean environment for all patients, including dusting, mopping, emptying garbage; clean all surfaces and furniture, bathrooms, etc.
Replenish supplies in patient rooms as needed
Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
Performs discharge and transfer cleanings in all patient areas, all invasive procedure areas and terminal cleanings as needed.
Performs standard precautions, transmission based precautions.
Performs high dusting televisions, vents in patient rooms & misc. rooms as needed
Utilizes appropriate infection prevention techniques when cleaning
Oversees waste collection and proper handling of RMW.
Oversees operation of Linen Room and Linen distribution and collection.
Supervises and checks the work of all staff.
Provides leadership and direction in accordance with department goals and policies.
Cover all job assignments as needed and has a full knowledge of the same and performs other related duties as assigned.
