About The Position

Wright-Pierce, a growing, award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a licensed Lead Electrical Engineer to support our Southeast region. This position entails evaluation, design and construction engineering for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure and industrial facilities including low to medium voltage power distribution systems, process control systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems and communications systems. Salary range is $85,000 - $140,000/yr. NOTE: Final salary is based on education, experience, certifications, and location.

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering work experience; preferably in the water/wastewater field.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Experience using Bluebeam required.
  • Professional Engineer license required
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering required

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industrial control system narratives and P&IDs considered a plus.
  • Experience using Revit/AutoCAD considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, design and construction engineering for water/wastewater treatment, civil infrastructure and industrial facilities including low to medium voltage power distribution systems, process control systems, lighting systems, fire alarm systems, security systems and communications systems.
  • Prepare technical writing including memoranda, letters, reports, specifications, and submittal reviews.
  • Proactively coordinate work with other design disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects to produce a fully coordinated set of bidding documents.
  • Develop construction cost estimates.
  • Perform site inspections for studies, design, and construction projects.
  • Perform field visits to review contractor's work and resolve field related issues.
  • Perform field visits to observe contractor's demonstration testing of electrical gear.
  • Mentor and delegate to staff.
  • Monitor budget status for assigned projects.
  • Assist with proposal development efforts for select project pursuits.
