The Role: Entegris is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team responsible for particle analyzer and concentration monitor products in Bloomington, MN as part of the Scientific Instrument Business Unit within Entegris ’ Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This segment develops technologies that support design and development of the most advanced semiconductor applications in the world . The lead Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacture of electrical equipment, including PCB assemblies, electrical components, test apparatus and will oversee the manufacture of these devices, systems, and equipment . This role is also critical in terms of managing partners on mechanical and electrical engineering projects and supporting software engineering integration with product design. What You'll Do: Lead the design of electrical systems for new products in development, including power distribution, control panels, sensors, and motion systems Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts using tools such as Altium Specify, select, and integrate components (motors, drives, sensors, connectors) for high-reliability applications Integrate electrical subsystems with mechanical assemblies and software controls Develop and execute test plans for electrical validation, EMI/EMC compliance, and system-level verification Serve as the electrical subject matter expert for design, sustaining, change, and continuous improvement of instruments, systems, components used in commercialized industrial systems Prepare design and purchase specifications for electrical materials, assemblies through strategically approved supply channels Design, develop and create test apparatus necessary to perform a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment Lead or co-lead projects related to technology development and new product introduction, from concept through release to low or high-volume manufacturing . Responsibilities include leading phase gate projects, design and concept reviews, prototyping, documentation creation, regulatory certification, design verification test, product validation and qualification, tracking of resources, scheduling, assessing risk and mitigating, estimate costs Conceptualize, design and develop new, derivative and existing product offerings to ensure performance and advancement of technology Characterize and test products to ensure specified requirements are met; oversee release to manufacturing activity by leading design verification testing, validation/qualification efforts, build and test of prototype systems Provide documentation support such as creating/ maintaining drawings, SOPs, test procedures, test data, routings Write technical reports and compiling data as evidence to support qualification of product or change to product, ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or requirements Evaluate designs for manufacturability, including assessing risk and managing using creative mitigation strategies Vendor and supplier coordination by managing relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components and services Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, new product introduction, product management, customers to maintain alignment and ensure project success Assist in performing root cause analysis on quality issues on new and existing products; troubleshooting responsibility to recognize design vs functional vs assembly issues Exhibit sounds judgement and decision making, driven with data, based on schedule and cost impact Mentor junior engineers, interns, and co-op roles
