About The Position

Provides customer service and operational support for the Great Outdoors Waterpark and Waneka Lake Boathouse. Responsible for front desk transactions, concessions preparation and sales, and assisting with boat rentals. Serves as the first point of contact for customers, delivering accurate information and exceptional service both in person and by phone. Maintains professionalism and dependability while performing duties in all areas. Must be at least 18 years of age to apply. TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE: Proper food handling and beverage service, running a cash register, making change and thorough knowledge of all areas within a concession stand. Basic knowledge of food preparation and arrangement of food and Public Health Regulations SKILL: Demonstrated skill in the operation of equipment necessary to perform the functions of the job, in preparing and serving food. ABILITY: Enforce codes and regulations firmly, tactfully, and impartially; express ideas clearly and concisely and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public. Plan and prepare quality foods for small to large groups of people in an efficient manner; and to adhere to and enforce Public Health Regulations. TRAINING: No specific requirement. EXPERIENCE: Some concession experience desired or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • All Customer Service Associates and Leads are required to complete the following online program prior to working in the Concession area. The course is online and can be completed from any web-access device. Responsibilities

  • Greets customers and provide accurate information regarding facility information, policies, and services
  • Accurately process cash and credit transactions for admissions, concessions, and rentals following City cash handling policies
  • Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conduct glass check by inspecting bags, strollers, and coolers for prohibited items
  • Dispatch guests from the top of slide, ensuring proper spacing and adherence to safety guidelines
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with health and safety standards
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of concessions area
  • Support facility operations by performing opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with on-site supervisors and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Assist customers in and out of boats safely and provide clear instructions for use
