About The Position
The Outdoor Waterpark lifeguard is responsible for the safety of all patrons in and around the pool area. Ensure the safety of all guests in and around the waterpark through constant awareness and scanning of all pools, waterslides and attractions We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and adheres to our mission. Must be lifeguard certified (classes provided through the YMCA if not already certified). This position is open to applicants 16 years of age and older. This position is outdoors. Must be able to handle the physical and environmental demands of the job. The YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley is a 4-star rated Charity Navigator employer for over 16 years. Requirements
- Must be lifeguard certified (classes provided through the YMCA if not already certified).
- This position is open to applicants 16 years of age and older.
- This position is outdoors.
- Must be able to handle the physical and environmental demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to and enforce aquatic and waterpark rules
- Wear rescue fannie pack and rescue tube at all times while on duty.
- Provide first aid and emergency assistance as needed
- Assist with guest inquiries and general park operations
- Accurately record and submit incident reports as required.
