Location: Mentor Req ID: 28015 Scope Responsible for daily operations of the Maintenance Storeroom. Primarily 1st shift schedule, could include weekends, holidays. Reports to the Operations Supervisor. ResponsibilitiesPrimary duties to perform this job include: Demonstrate initiative, perform all tasks under limited supervision, and assume ownership of work tasks. Responsible for daily operation of the Maintenance Storeroom to support maintenance and production operations. Responsible for issuing parts and supplies to employees. Responsible for organizing, stocking, and maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies in an orderly manner. Responsible for maintaining accurate records of parts and supplies received and distributed from the storeroom. Assist Materials Team Lead as needed with daily work operations and purchasing activities. Update and maintain the Parts Database to ensure accurate records. Communicate across multiple departments to ensure items ordered are properly delivered. Perform visual inventory checks as needed on requisitioned materials out of the crib. Keep storeroom organized by moving parts and supplies to assigned areas or reassigning areas as needed. H Handles product with care to avoid damage to material or storage racks Follow-up on existing orders and make sure requests are filled out correctly. Manages storeroom universal waste and other operations support activities. Adjust schedule and work hours to accomplish the desired result, ability to work weekends and holidays as required. Report any maintenance and/or safety issues to supervision. Review, understand, and follow all Company specifications and procedures, and regulatory rules and requirements that are associated with the performance of this job. Must understand the relevance and importance of the quality activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the quality objectives. Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job. Be aware of OSHA and EPA laws and regulations as well as the Company’s Plant Rules and Regulations that pertain to this job. Work in a safe manner and observe all company EHS procedures. Follow safe equipment operating procedures and only operate equipment that he/she has been trained on. Know that the company EHS procedures are located in Centra and also contained in reference books, such as: SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations. Material Safety Data Sheets are located at Security and also available through the Department Supervisor, as needed. Immediately notify the Operations Supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT – Follow the personal protective equipment policy detailed in Plant Rules & Regulations EHS560 and EHS580. Skills, Aptitude and Abilities High School education or equivalent. Prefer 2 years Warehouse, Receiving and/or Shipping experience. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Team oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision. Strict attention to detail while maintaining accurate records. Excellent safety and attendance record. Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis. May be required to operate basic shop equipment (hoist, forklift, scissor lift, etc.) Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge. Must be able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job. Basic computer knowledge, including SAP and Microsoft Office applications. Training The Operations Supervisor shall ensure that the employee receives the following training at the appropriate times per the Maintenance Department Training Matrix. The Operations Supervisor shall determine when an individual has completed the training and is qualified to assume these responsibilities.
