Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of cooking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with management, chefs, and service staff to address any guest or employee needs and ensure smooth operations.
- Notify the Room Chef or Sous Chef of any problems that arise and detail how they have been resolved to maintain quality service.
- Expedite and coordinate service, ensuring production aligns with par levels and guest expectations.
- Operate various kitchen stations, including sauté, sauce, grill, cold seafood, pastry, and appetizers, while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to proper food handling techniques and health and safety standards, while maintaining a solid understanding of menu items, recipes, and preparation techniques, including the creation of base sauces, stocks, and soups.
