About The Position

The ERP Cloud – Financials Functional Lead is responsible for leading functional project work for Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) Financials implementations. This role provides subject matter expertise across core Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Assets, and Cash Management. The Functional Lead partners with clients, project teams, and technical resources to guide implementations across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required, or equivalent work and/or industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financials implementation experience.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) Financials modules, including GL, AR, AP, FA, CM, and SLA.
  • Experience working across all project phases, including Project Planning, Fit/Gap Analysis, Configuration, Testing, and Deployment.
  • Prior experience managing IT relationships with business clients.
  • Experience creating functional design documentation and solution artifacts.
  • Experience creating and executing functional and user acceptance test cases.
  • Deep functional expertise in Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to recommend and design effective business solutions.
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead functional initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
  • Experience supporting production or post-go-live environments is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Supply Chain modules (Inventory, Costing, Order Management) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead functional implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud (Fusion) Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Assets, and Cash Management.
  • Serve as a functional subject matter expert, guiding clients through the full systems development lifecycle.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements and map them to Oracle Cloud functionality.
  • Identify functional gaps and design appropriate business solutions.
  • Advise clients on options, risks, and impacts to downstream processes or integrated systems.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud applications to meet client requirements and document application setups.
  • Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and IT vendors to drive successful implementations.
  • Lead documentation of business processes, functional requirements, and solution designs.
  • Provide functional leadership for module strategy, feature deployment, and cross-module integration.
  • Define testing scenarios, develop test scripts, and support execution of functional and user acceptance testing.
  • Develop end-user documentation and training materials and deliver end-user training sessions.
  • Collaborate with project team members responsible for reports, interfaces, data conversions, and application extensions.
  • Provide regular project status updates, risk identification, and issue reporting to project managers and clients.
  • Share knowledge and lessons learned to continuously improve implementation methodologies.
  • Support post-implementation activities and production support as needed.
