You will join a highly collaborative compensation team of self‑driven individuals who value teamwork, practical problem‑solving, and thoughtful decision‑making. You’ll partner closely with internal teams such as Finance, HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Legal and Equity to translate business strategy into scalable compensation programs across broad-based, sales, and executive/equity compensation. This role will actively participate in evolving and scaling our compensation programs and philosophy. You are a trusted subject-matter expert who independently leads complex, cross‑functional projects, shapes best practices, and influences strategy and decisions across multiple functions.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in compensation or closely related analytical roles, ideally in high‑growth technology or similarly dynamic environments.
  • Deep understanding of compensation principles and practices across base pay, bonus, and equity (including program design, job architecture, ranges, market benchmarking, and pay equity).
  • Demonstrated strength in quantitative analysis and modeling, including advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel (e.g., modeling, scenario analysis, data visualization).
  • Experience partnering with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to support comp cycles, offers, promotions, and budgeting.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and making thoughtful tradeoffs among market alignment, internal equity, performance, and budget.
  • Strategic thinker: Connects compensation decisions to Reddit’s broader business strategy and long‑term talent goals.
  • Problem solver: Breaks down complex, ambiguous compensation problems into structured approaches and clear recommendations.
  • Data‑driven & detail‑oriented: Balances high‑level storytelling with precision in data, modeling, and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Data-Driven Insights: Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for senior leaders, HRBPs, and Talent partners.
  • Compensation Program Design: Utilize expertise to design innovative and competitive compensation programs that align with and support the company's business strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across various functions to plan, develop, implement, and administer compensation programs.
