About The Position

This Lead Chemical Engineer position is dedicated to the application of colloidal silica in concrete admixture and refractory products, supporting the growing revenue generators in CTG for Concrete and Refractory applications. Ecolab is a market leader in slurries and flours supply to the US-based investment casting industry and aims to expand its market share in the concrete industry. The role is highly customer support-oriented, requiring significant domestic travel, strong customer-facing skills, and excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing trials both in the field and in the laboratory, driving technology improvement, and acting as a subject matter expert in Concrete Admixtures.

Requirements

BS in Chemical Engineering or related and 6 years of R&D experience; MS in Chemical Engineering or related and 4 years of R&D experience or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related and 2 years related R&D experience
Hands-on experience in concrete manufacturing processes, concrete admixtures design and formulation
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically
Customer-facing skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Plan and execute trials in the field as well as in the laboratory

Plan and execute development of new technologies in the field of concrete and refractory
Coordinate and execute internal and field trials for validation of the technologies
Actively coach, train, and mentor other operators at customer sites
