This role bridges the gap between frontline execution and departmental supervision, offering strong technical expertise, day-to-day leadership, and task coordination within their assigned area. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the tools, equipment, and processes of their department, and capable of training others, resolving production issues, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and company procedures.

Requirements

Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment within the relevant department.
Advanced understanding of department-specific tools, materials, and processes.
3–5 years of carpentry experience, preferably in a manufacturing or modular construction environment

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary resource for team members; provide troubleshooting support, guidance, and mentorship.
Ensure team adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and productivity goals.
Assist in training and onboarding new employees; reinforce skill development across the team.
Communication needs to supervisors.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of the work area (5S practices encouraged).
Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and cross-functional teams regarding workflow, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Identify and escalate equipment issues, process inefficiencies, or personnel concerns to management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
