Chileda is seeking a Lead Caregiver for their Adult Family Home in Onalaska. This role is designed for individuals passionate about improving the lives of others and ready to join a supportive team. Lead Caregivers are crucial in enhancing the effectiveness of the Caregiver team through training, coaching, fostering strong working relationships, and supporting performance development. The position offers a purpose-driven career, helping residents learn life skills, engage in the community, and enjoy outings within a safe, supportive, and caring environment.

Requirements

Strong computer skills
Ability to lead a group of diverse individuals

Nice To Haves

Previous leadership or supervisors experience is a plus
A Valid Driver's License is preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and Develop Caregivers: Providing training, coaching, fostering strong working relationships, and supporting performance development.
Empower Residents: Help residents develop skills in independent living, personal care, and community integration.
Be a Positive Role Model: Teach essential life skills such as cooking, socializing, and problem-solving, all while fostering a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Participate in Fun Activities: Go on exciting community outings, cook meals together, and make sure everyone is engaged and having a good time!
Provide Compassionate Care: Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, and meal assistance.
Use Your Crisis Management Skills: Apply the techniques you learn in training to manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy.
