The lead sonographer will be responsible for providing direct patient care 80% of the time. 20% of their role will include administrative and leadership duties including providing educational seminars and serving as a resource to the cardiac sonographer team. Lead sonographer will partner with Medical Director to operationalize the ambulatory imaging strategy set out by the division leadership team. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in outpatient/ambulatory cardiac imaging. Preference given to candidates with prior cardiac sonographer lead experience in a physician practice setting. Schedule: This is a full-time position where the lead will work 4 10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Primary location: 755 E. McDowell Rd. Phoenix, AZ – may travel twice per month to our outreach location (Banner Health Center Plus Arcadia) located at 4200 E. Camelback Rd. Phoenix, AZ. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for technical, clinical activities associated with echo lab and day to day operations in hospital and those diagnostic services. Serves as a resource to all levels of medical, nursing, echo techs and IT technical personnel. Responsible for timely completion of daily echo service work schedule, timely through put of complete echocardiograms, operation and maintenance of echo lab equipment and department compliance to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Accredited Echo Labs standards. Collaborates with the Manager of the department to optimize department performance. Assists with training of new staff. Performs echo studies at least 90% of the time as part of their daily routine.
