Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Job Description General Summary: Performs responsibilities of a Senior Cardiac Sonographer while acting as a leader and resource for other sonographers at Lurie Children’s and off-site facilities. Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement. Maintains current knowledge of technology, equipment, and department policies. Educates and evaluates staff to department policies, procedures, and maintains competencies. Strong awareness of daily operations, workflow processes, and scheduling trends. Ensures appropriate staff scheduling and clinic coverage. Maintains inventory and orders supplies within budgetary guidelines. Coordinates student clinical rotations, on-boarding process, and training of cardiac sonographers.
