Overview: The Lead Beverage Cart is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Beverage Cart team, ensuring efficient service, adherence to safety protocols, and outstanding guest experience on the golf course. This hands-on role supports the Beverage Cart Manager by supervising team members, managing inventory, and upholding high service standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to compute basic arithmetic, particularly in cash handling situations.
  • Knowledge and experience in beverage service, including alcoholic drinks.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Maintain current Ramp and Food Handler certifications.
  • Customer service oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an outgoing personality, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and teamwork abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Beverage Cart Attendants to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to service protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels for carts, requisitioning supplies as needed.
  • Assist with setting up and restocking beverage carts and the halfway house to ensure readiness for service.
  • Perform duties of a Beverage Cart Attendant as necessary to support operations.
  • Train and mentor new Beverage Cart team members on customer service, safety, and golf course etiquette.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Assist in scheduling staff to meet business demands and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure the team delivers friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex matters to the Beverage Cart Manager as needed.
  • Enforce all safety standards and golf etiquette protocols for beverage cart operations.
  • Ensure beverage carts are clean, fully functional, and properly maintained, reporting any issues to the Fleet Mechanic or Manager.
  • Assist with reconciling daily sales and reporting inventory usage to the Beverage Cart Manager.
  • Monitor compliance with alcohol-serving laws and company policies.
  • Support the Beverage Cart Manager during departmental meetings and event preparations.
