About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant in Payment Fraud Analytics Team under Fraud Detection Services as part of Fraud & Claims Management (FCM) In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Payment Risk Review and analyze complex strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on first party fraud and payment risk Receive direction from leaders Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Interact with internal and external customers Collaborate with business and risk oversight for developing effective first party fraud and payment risk strategies Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on payment risk related topics

Requirements

  • Experience in fraud risk and mitigation including strategies to reduce or mitigate loss and fraud exposures
  • 4+ years of experience with SAS, SQL, Power BI, Python or other data management, reporting and query tools
  • 4+ years of experience using data and analytics to inform and develop risk mitigation strategies
  • 3+ years' experience designing and optimizing complex SQL queries involving table joins and correlated sub-queries on large scale data tables
  • 6+ years of experience creating pivot tables and performing data analysis in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
