Seeks to drive innovation in the analytics advisory sector through external research partnerships in a defined area of expertise including strategic financial advice, government, public and private bodies, fintech, (re)insurance research, industry bodies, etc. to strengthen client offerings and drive business development and renewal. CAREER: Applies advanced knowledge of sub-function typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Requirements

  • Bring 5+ years of experience as a plan analyst or analytics professional.
  • Possess strong technical insurance knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and effective verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Use of sound judgment of all client interactions.
  • Exhibits strong ability to anticipate needs and proactively seek to identify new opportunities.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
  • High degree of business technology awareness and its applications to workplace efficiencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effectively handle large, long-term projects as well as manage the details associated with everyday tasks.

  • Master’s degree or professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date insurance technical knowledge, including market trends, firm automation, data resources, and operating techniques.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of data warehousing platforms and analytics partners supporting employee benefits.
  • Actively support the renewal cycle by obtaining and analyzing account structure documentation for new plan years.
  • Apply underwriting methodologies to support renewal development for self-funded employer-sponsored accounts.
  • Review and analyze key performance indicators, activity reports, and financial statements to assess progress toward objectives and recommend adjustments based on current conditions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and proactively escalate issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership.
  • Serve as a storyteller in strategic client meetings by using proprietary data and resources to clarify the client’s current state and anticipate future outcomes.
  • Provide senior-level insights, drawing on practical innovation experience to assess the impact and feasibility of proposed initiatives.
  • Leverage relationships across the organization and with senior leadership to support innovation efforts and change initiatives that challenge the status quo.
  • Use analytical insights to identify market opportunities and deliver strategic recommendations.
  • Implement effective management, monitoring, and oversight practices to drive execution, focus, and results across assigned initiatives, making adjustments as needed to achieve enterprise objectives.
