We are seeking a Laundry Supervisor for Dollywood Resorts who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while caring deeply about our brand. The right Laundry Supervisor checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable. Summary of Essential Functions & Responsibilities Supervises and contributes to the resorts’ Laundry department operation to ensure efficient production and delivery of quality guest room, food and beverage, and Spa linen/terry product in a safe and timely manner for both Dollywood resorts Ensures adherence to all company and departmental guidelines, policies and procedures Monitors department safety efforts for area of responsibility Oversees production schedules, ensures it is designed to meet the requirements of the respective resort operating departments and monitors activities to ensure that schedules are met Supervises staff, work assignments, and scheduling of product/equipment usage to maximize performance and productivity of available resources Attends meetings as necessary in order to keep up to date on respective Resort related activities/information Conducts periodic inventories of all linen and terry products, generates monthly usage report. Communicates pertinent information in order to maintain effective operation of the department Monitors chemical usage so as to maintain acceptable “per pound” productions process costs Determines need for, and conducts appropriate on-going training as required Evaluates individual employee performance, determines areas where need for improvement or requirements for advancement exist, establishes goals, objectives and training needs required to achieve success Maintains an open line of communication with property Directors of Engineering in regard to equipment functionality, required PM’s and anticipated repairs. Assists Directors of Engineering in developing an annual equipment repair budget and forecasting future capital expenditures Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any time
