About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting equipment and other fabrication machinery to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, blueprint reading, and quality inspection. The Laser Operator will play a vital part in ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety standards within a dynamic industrial environment. Requirements

Proven experience with CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, and machining operations.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal fabrication, welding, stamping, and mechanical assembly.
Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise measurements.
Ability to operate various fabrication tools such as press brakes, CNC mills/lathes, plasma cutters, EDM machines, hand tools, and tooling equipment.
Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, calibration, and maintenance of machinery.
Strong blueprint reading skills and experience with quality inspection using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks.
Ability to work safely around heavy machinery including forklifts and cranes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines, including programming and troubleshooting to ensure accurate cuts according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
Perform CNC programming adjustments and optimize machine parameters for precision cutting.
Utilize various fabrication tools such as press brake machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and welding equipment as needed.
Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, precision measuring instruments, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Maintain proper tooling setup and perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes safely within the manufacturing environment.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area to promote a safe workplace.
Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and fabrication projects to meet production deadlines.
