This role involves setting up and operating CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal components, interpreting blueprints, loading materials, monitoring operations, inspecting parts, performing maintenance, adjusting settings, maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures, and collaborating with the team.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC controls/software.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment preferred.
Experience in metal fabrication, especially with cabinets or rack systems, is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (e.g., fiber or CO₂ lasers) to cut sheet metal components.
Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal) onto the laser bed.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure specifications are met.
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laser equipment.
Adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focus to optimize cutting performance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
