Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Centerline is currently seeking applicants for a Lapping Operator. Responsibilities include setting up, operating, and maintaining machines, as well as troubleshooting issues as they arise. Attention to detail, motivation, and the desire to learn and improve yourself and your team will be valuable traits in this position. Vishay Centerline is located in Hudson, Massachusetts. There are around 20 employees in this machine shop operation. This role is an on-site position. We are open and flexible with training for this role!

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent hand eye coordination and finger dexterity required
• Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts
• Must have a continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude
• This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.”

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment is preferred

Responsibilities

• Checking the tables and machines
• Cutting fixtures with scroll saw
• Measuring pieces before, during, and after processing
• Determining the optimal run-time for each job based on specifications
• Loading parts and running 1-2 machines at a time
• Flipping and rotating parts to ensure an even finish
• Changing slurries
• Standing at your machine all day
