The ancestors of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation existed many centuries ago as a community of people…a Tribe living together, farming, hunting and fishing to survive.

Job Purpose:
Performs landscaping services for assigned area

Requirements

• 1 year of landscaping experience
• Driver’s License in good standing
• Ability to understand and follow written directions and verbal directives
• Ability to use trade tools
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours at a time
• Ability to crouch, bend and stoop
• Ability to grasp and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to appear for work on time
• Ability to accept constructive criticism
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure

Nice To Haves

• Facilities maintenance experience
• Landscaping experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains appearance of flower gardens, trees and lawns by planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, watering and pruning plants and trees, and applying fertilizer as needed.
• Keeps sprinkler systems operational by routinely inspecting systems, repairing or replacing broken or missing parts, and reporting issues requiring further attention.
• Maintains safe work area by observing established safety standards while using tools, performing equipment repairs, and cleaning work areas.
• Assists with maintenance of reservation facilities by performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
