About The Position

Full-Time Summer Seasonal Position (Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:00pm) This position maintains and installs outdoor environments, including mowing, planting, pruning, fertilizing for lawns, fields, gardens, and hardscapes, to improve property aesthetics and comply with governmental regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED).
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and other applicable computer programs.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to respond and perform in emergency situations and severe weather conditions.
• Able to respond to emergency situations as necessary.
• Able to respond to severe weather conditions.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must wear uniforms provided (uniforms must be clean and presentable) and personal protective equipment. with the position. Attire can be formal, traditional, or business casual attire.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license that meets insurance requirements
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays when required.
• Successfully pass continual training, security and employment requirements
• Must possess acceptable English language skills to include speaking, reading, writing and comprehension.
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance; stoop, kneel and crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to type, handle bags, boxes, objects or controls.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift up to 99 pounds with assistance.
• Vision abilities include, with or without corrective lenses, close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sufficient auditory ability, with or without audiological devices, interact with the public and others, decipher radio communications, and hear alarms, including vehicle and other warning signals.
• Able to tolerate exposure to noise levels up to 150 decibels at times, hearing protection is provided and optional.
• Have the physical ability and awareness to safely navigate in and around equipment and aircraft.
• Able to tolerate exposure to air fuels, exhaust, and de-icing and other chemicals.
• Able and willing to work in inclement weather, including extreme cold and warm temperatures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Customer Service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mowing, raking, digging, planting, and weeding of landscape areas.
• Load and unload equipment and planting materials from trucks
• Safely operate the following equipment: Mowers - walk-behind, push and ride. Backpack sprayers and blowers Edgers, string trimmers, chain saws and hedge trimmers Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.
• Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risks.
• Professionally communicate over two-way radio, telephone, and email.
• Possess and maintain valid Driver’s license.
• Additional duties as assigned.
