About The Position

Northern Nurseries in Cicero, NY is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Customer Service & Labor Associate to join our team for the spring–fall season. We’re a leading supplier for professional landscapers, offering the Northeast’s largest selection of trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials, and landscape materials. Our customers rely on us for a seamless, one-stop shopping experience—and you’ll play a key role in making that happen.

This is a hands-on, physical role—candidates must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs regularly and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

• Energetic, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service.
• Experience in the green industry, horticulture, landscaping, or related fields is highly valued.
• Familiarity with nursery goods, hardscape materials, irrigation, lighting, fertilizers, soil amendments, and pest/weed control products is a plus.
• Willingness to learn our product lines and grow your knowledge.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on safety.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in nurseries, greenhouses, farming, forestry, or irrigation products is a bonus.
• Equipment experience (forklifts, front-end loaders) is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support landscape professionals by assisting with product selection and providing exceptional customer service.
• Write and process new customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organize and stage horticultural products for delivery to job sites.
• Maintain a clean, organized yard and help manage inventory throughout the season.
• Load and unload plant material, hardscape products, and other landscape supplies from trucks and customer vehicles.
• Replenish, move, and care for nursery stock as directed.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts or loaders (experience preferred but not required).
• Perform additional duties as needed to support daily operations.
