This exciting opportunity is for a career & growth-minded Landscape Designer & Sales Representative to join the team, combining strong design experience with a passion for business development. The role involves providing clients with unique design ideas, developing & communicating proposals, and closing sales. The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, professional, creative, and inspired, with a passion for creating beautiful, unique landscapes and the ability to communicate design ideas to clients effectively.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of client-facing sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience in residential landscape design or architecture
  • Excellent plant, irrigation, grading, and drainage knowledge for landscape plans
  • Excellent pool, hardscape, outdoor kitchen, fire and water features, and carpentry knowledge for construction plans
  • Creative critical thinking and analysis
  • Ability to use CAD and 3D design software (SketchUp or Lumion)
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn LMN software for estimating
  • Portfolio required

Responsibilities

  • Performing site analyses that include the assessment of current plants, soil conditions, lighting, the view, and architecture style of the house
  • Developing design approaches that meet client desires within the site’s potential
  • Creating rough drawings and more sophisticated plans with computer-aided design (CAD) programs
  • Analyzing complex environmental reports and using the knowledge gained in designs/plans
  • Providing recommendations on conservation and sustainability issues
  • Drawing up reports and contracts
  • Writing proposals and presenting them to clients
  • Closing the sale with client
  • Liaising with fellow architects, project managers, engineers, and surveyors
  • Speaking to locals and community members to gain insight
