About The Position

AquaTerra Outdoors is seeking an experienced landscape designer to join our team. The designer will be responsible for creating and producing graphic designs and all visual elements for high-end residential landscape projects. Candidates will work closely with the design team and project managers to develop 2D CAD drawings, 3D models, renderings, presentations, permit drawings, construction drawings, and all related details. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of architectural design and detailing, hardscape, and structures. Knowledge of native plant materials, drainage, irrigation, pools, and water features is a plus but not required. AquaTerra Outdoors is a full-service, award-winning design/build firm specializing in creating personalized environments for families passionate about outdoor living.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp required.
  • Working knowledge of design and construction documentation of landscapes, hardscapes, accessory structures, and pools.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor progress across multiple projects
  • Working knowledge of visualization and presentation processes and the ability to communicate ideas through drawings, 3D models, and graphic presentations
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in Landscape design

Nice To Haves

  • Lumion or similar is a plus but not required.
  • Knowledge of native plant materials, drainage, irrigation, pools, and water features is a plus but not required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of architectural design and detailing, hardscape, and structures.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site analysis and observe projects.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create conceptual landscape, hardscape, pools, and structures into 2D CAD drawings and 3D models.
  • Develop design development drawings as needed for bidding and estimating.
  • Coordinate with project managers and attend client meetings for design presentations.
  • Prepare and produce construction documents and all related details required for permitting, regulatory approval, and construction.
