JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: The Land Operations Coordinator supports the Land Department in managing budgets, contracts, and payment processes for land acquisition and development projects. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial tracking, coordinating contract documentation, processing invoices, and supporting operational efficiencies across the land team.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in real estate development, homebuilding, construction, or related industry preferred.
  • Experience with budgeting, contract administration, and invoice processing.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management systems.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain land acquisition and development budgets including assisting with the development of project budgets.
  • Monitor project costs and report budget variances to the Land team.
  • Process, code, and submit invoices for approval and payment.
  • Coordinate with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.
  • Assist with cash flow tracking and forecasting for land projects.
  • Prepare, track, and maintain land purchase agreements, development agreements, and vendor contracts.
  • Monitor key contract deadlines, contingencies, and expiration dates.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical land files.
  • Coordinate earnest money deposits, option payments, and closing documentation.
  • Assist with bid solicitation, analysis, and bid leveling for the land development scopes as needed
  • Serve as liaison with consultants, municipalities, and vendors regarding documentation and billing.
  • Collect and maintain insurance certificates, lien releases, and required compliance documents.
  • Track and coordinate bond requirements, including subdivision bonds, improvement bonds, and related releases or exonerations.
  • Support due diligence tracking and entitlement milestone reporting.
  • Prepare internal reports and status updates for leadership.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Land Department.
